Anjana Ranganathan, MD is a board-certified oncologist and hematologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, then went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Medical Resident. She then completed fellowships in Hematology and Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Alliance Cancer Specialists in Bensalem, she was on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania where she specialized in Gastrointestinal and Thoracic Malignancies at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. She also co-developed the Palliative and Supportive Oncology Clinic, with a focus on ensuring that patients and their families had the necessary pain and symptom management and support to get through challenging diagnoses and treatments.
Dr. Ranganathan came to Northeast Philadelphia in 2019 with the goal of delivering that same level of high-quality, compassionate and personalized care to patients and families close to home. She has been recognized by her peers as one of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors in 2023 and 2024.
“Dr. Ranganathan was transparent in all her encounters with me. Her experience and credentials are exceptional. I was treated as a whole human being, not a number or a case. She included my spouse in all discussions. Dr. Ranganathan earned my trust.”
